Abstract

Moral education is often complained of by the community, because there are so many phenomena that show disgraceful morals for students, community concerns related to student delinquency, for example, are promiscuity, rampant violence and brawls between students, widespread drug distribution. In general, this study aims to analyze the management of education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah based on Islamic boarding schools in the formation of students' morals, while specifically this study aims to determine (1) planning, (2) organizing, (3) implementation, (4) evaluation, and (5) barriers to the management of moral education in Islamic boarding school-based MTs in shaping students' morals. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were the head of the Islamic boarding school, the management, the head of the madrasah, the deputy head of the madrasah, teachers / ustadz and students. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation study. The data validity technique used triangulation technique. The results showed that: (1) The management of moral education in Islamic boarding school-based MTs is implemented integrally and the implementation of moral education is that students are guided 24 hours a day by administrators and the main key is role model. (2) Constraints in the implementation of moral education are the lack of coordination between divisions and communication with the parents of students. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of moral education management will be effective if it involves all components of education, both teachers, stakeholders in schools and there is synchronization with Islamic boarding school education
